Inmate DebitCall - Inmate Phone Services

DebitCall

NCIC's Inmate DebitCall feature adds support for Debit (chargeable) inmate phone calls within the confines of the Commander call control system. When implemented, DebitCall is integrated into Commander call processing and provides the following functionality:

Configures Debit and Collect calling based on the call type: Local, IntraLATA, InterLATA, and International.
Inputs balance transactions for inmate accounts or pre-paid calling cards.
Allows or restricts calls based on standard Commander call controls such as PIN, called number, phone used, and time of day.
Checks account balance to determine whether the inmate has enough funds to place the call.
Sets the minimum and maximum call durations based on account balances.
Prompts inmate callers of
Low Funds – unable to process debit-only calls
Low Funds – offering collect call processing
Reports on:

a. Account and System balance transactions

b. Call charges applied to the inmate account

c. Pre-paid phone numbers for Account

DebitCall leverages NCIC’s software provider's call rating technology which has demonstrated years of proven reliability in the industry. Using this new model, service providers can ensure all international calls are pre-paid while allowing domestic calls to be drawn on an account balance before switching to collect calling. Therefore, calls should never be denied and billing options are always available to the service provider.

The DebitCall features can be utilized in one of two ways:

Pre-paid inmate debit account using PINs
Pre-paid calling card for various denominations
